The neighborhood I live in is so loud right now...

It's nearing 9 p.m. and I hear the fireworks going off already.

Still three hours away from officially being the 4th of July here in Houston, Texas but people are already blasting fireworks like there's no tomorrow!

The kids in the neighborhood need to save some fireworks for tomorrow night as well. And I just saw and heard a firecracker hit my window with a lot of force. It appeared to be one of those mini rocket launchers that shoot out when you light it.

I used to love this stuff when I was a kid!

It's like a war zone in my neighborhood right now!

My next door neighbor is outside and he's having a good time drinking beer and listening to some loud music with a bunch of friends. I'll probably go outside for a few minutes and chat some sports with my next door neighbor. He's a big sports fanatic like me.

Of course, there's not much for us to discuss these days with how badly the Astros have been playing.

I'll go talk about the 2008 Houston Texans with him. The NFL season is quickly approaching in a few months! There's reason to believe the Texans will continue to improve after an 8-8 season last year, which was their best season ever.

Oh, and I don't drink any beer because of my health. So I'll probably drink a Diet Cherry 7up to ring in the 4th of July. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it's all I have in large quantity right now. I stuff my fridgerator with Diet Cherry 7up and Ozarka water.

It's early July, and I can't wait for September the 7th when the Houston Texans open up the 2008 NFL season against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Then again, I don't want time to move by too fast, because I do turn 27 years old on August the 15th, and I'm not so sure getting another year older is a good thing!

But that's part of life isn't it? Aging... If I had my choice, I would have remained at 19 years old and never aged after that!
